You’re invited! Introducing the What Moves Everett Community Transportation Fair!
(Or is it an extravaganza?!)
Green Streets is partnering with the City of Everett, MA’s Department of Transportation and Mobility to host the What Moves Everett Community Transportation Fair!
The event is June 8, 2024 (rain date June 9) from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at 7 Acre Park along the Northern Strand Trail in Everett.
Pre-register today to receive an extra raffle ticket and a free reflective vest!
What activities will be at the event?
Food from local food trucks (FREE while supplies last; afterwards available for purchase!)
3 mile guided bike tour on the Northern Strand Trail, stopping to hear from MassDOT about a new bike/pedestrian bridge from Everett to Somerville!
5K Fun run/walk
Kids bike/scooter parade led by Everett’s Deputy Fire Chief
An MBTA bus with demos and practice for putting a bike on a bus rack
Arts and crafts, including decorating bikes / scooters / wheelchairs / helmets with reflective art
K-12 Student Talent Show
Over 20 local health, environmental and other advocacy organizations with info and fun activities

Bike Month Kick-Off Event

Green Streets’ staff was excited to table at the 2024 Bike Month Kick-Off Event on April 28 at Aeronaut Brewery in Somerville. We enjoyed sharing our upcoming event in Everett while learning from so many others in the blossoming world of safe and active streets and vibrant communities.
Everett Kids to Parks Event on May 18
Come chat with Green Streets staff at the Everett Kids to Parks event on Saturday, May 18, from 11 AM - 1 PM at Swan St. Playground in Everett. We will be sharing information about our upcoming June event. We’d love to talk with you there!

Congratulations: Program Consultant Shannon Sullivan is a newly minted Master of Public Administration (Northeastern University) and Development Intern George Amaral is graduating with his Master of Public Health (Southern New Hampshire University) this month. Congratulations to them both!
We are also excited to welcome two summer interns to our team: Danny Macomber, an incoming junior at Umass Amherst (Business Admin and Finance major and English minor), and Portia Lee, BS May 2024 from Boston University (Major in Earth and Environment).
Our Board: Our fantastic Board is always interested in connecting with others who would like to join or volunteer to support them. If you would like to join our board or help us in any other way, please reach out! We are interested in volunteers with business experience of all kinds.
