Dear Green Streets friend,
Thank you for being involved with us, Green Streets Initiative, and Walk/Ride Days! Our Challenge provides the gentlest nudge while being the most inclusive approach we've seen and we are proud of the positive feedback we receive, as well as our measurable impact.
"When I participated in Walk/Ride Day, I felt my consciousness in environmental protection seem to grow."
"This year I have tried to ride to work about once a week. Checking my training log, I have done so 11 times already this year."
"I've been walking to and from work more frequently since my last WRD check in."
"I have switched to biking everyday that it is logistically possible..."
"What has inspired me has been hearing stories from the Walk/Ride Day community and the great support and encouragement from my co-workers!"
As 2018 draws to a close, we invite you to help us to continue to develop and share our programs. Here are few ways:
1. Win yourself a gorgeous Green Streets water bottle by doing the following:
Donate to our efforts - Give over $50 and we'll send you one! All donations are tax deductible.
Log a commute in honor of the December 28 Walk/Ride Day by 1/3/2019 and you will be entered into the check-in raffle!
2. Pilot a commute tracking app developed in the UK, and let us know your opinion about our using it for Walk/Ride Day check-ins in the coming year:
App Name: BetterPoints
Referral Code: GStest
Settings: Please turn automatic tracking ON. (See the arrow in the upper right hand corner of the screen)
Notes: App is just a demo now and will have rewards and added features if we adopt. Share thoughts and feedback here. Thanks!
And of course,
3. Invite your workplace and your friends' workplaces to participate in the 2019 Commuter Challenge -- or confirm that they already are! They can find out more info and register here.
Please stay in touch and have a great holiday season!
