Kittie Knox 5th Annual Ride
The 5th Annual Kittie Knox Ride is a community bike ride on Juneteenth (June 19, 2026) around Boston, Cambridge, Watertown, and Waltham, following the life of Katherine "Kittie" Knox, a biracial cyclist and barrier-breaker of the 1890s. Riders will reflect on racial and gender representation in bicycling and advocacy, guided by historical insights from author Larry Finison. Two route options are available — a 20-mile and a 35-mile ride — both starting at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
