Two-Year Anniversary of the Blue Hills Fire Hike
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: MODERATE
Join us for a special hike marking the two-year anniversary of the Blue Hills fire. We’ll spend time on the trails, reflecting on the fire, the landscape’s recovery, and the importance of protecting and caring for the Blue Hills.
This hike will be approximately 3 miles, with some elevated, difficult terrain and rocky obstacles. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
Meeting Location:
840 Hillside St, Houghton’s Pond, by the playground
Hikes are rain or shine. We stay together and maintain a steady but patient pace. We will go at the pace of the slowest hiker, with stops as needed for water, photos, or other reasons.
Recommended gear: Hiking boots or sturdy footwear, plenty of water, and layers appropriate for the weather.
Stay together. Look out for each other. Report any issues to the hike leader immediately.
