Ask to see their badge

The customer will open the Shift app and show you a full-screen badge on their phone.

Check that it's live

The badge has a moving animation and a clock that ticks every second. If it's a still image or screenshot, it won't move — don't accept it.

Apply the discount

Apply the discount as you normally would. That's it — no scanning, no codes, no app on your end.

How to spot a fake

A real Shift badge has a glowing animation and a live timestamp that updates every second. Screenshots are static — the animation won't move and the time won't change. If in doubt, ask the customer to tap the badge — it should respond with a brief animation.
