Internship opportunity: non-profit management

Apply to support the Directors. Green Streets interns receive a lot of responsibility and gain first hand experience with running a nonprofit, from running Board meetings, to analyzing data to managing social media. Interns are expected to be available for at least 10 hours a week and should be available to work during the day with the Directors at least twice a week. We are looking for assistance for our director in administering the Walk/Ride Day Corporate Challenge and other aspects of Green Streets' work

Fundraising/grants writing 

Green Streets is working to make our organization sustainable and replicable in other cities. We are looking for volunteers to help us explore and develop funding opportunities and relationships

PR and marketing

Green Streets would like help conveying our story and impact to the public and we would love help from folks experienced in PR and marketing

Event management/outreach

Green Streets frequently exhibits at public health, environmental, transportation, and other community events. If you would be interested in representing Green Streets at these events, please let us know

Social media/marketing

Are you a whiz with social media? If so, help us use Facebook, Twitter, and other online tools effectively to reach new audiences and spread the word about Walk/Ride Days!

Writing, photography, and videography

These media can be effective ways to document our success and tell the Walk/Ride Day story. If you have skills in any of these areas, please let us know

Walk/Ride Day coordination

We are building a corps of Walk/Ride Day coordinators in communities throughout the Boston area. These folks work at schools, workplaces, and other organizations to help spread the word, build the buzz, and make the celebration happen!

IT projects

App maintenance and enhancements

We are looking for a programmer or two to help us work on maintaining and enhancing our Django application. Prior Django knowledge desirable, or a desire to learn. 


Website maintenance and enhancements

We need an intern to maintain and further develop our Wix website.
