Are you a Retailer or Business who is dying to "go green?"  Here's how, and the best part... It's Easy and Fun!

What is Green Streets?

Green Streets is a grassroots organization of people of all ages, whose Walk/Ride Days are sweeping the cities of Cambridge, Medford, Somerville... and more.

Talk about a great way to promote your business as a community oriented, environmentally conscious, place!

What are Walk/Ride Days?

The idea is simple: On the last Friday of every month we create a city-wide party.  People, all over the Boston area, choose to give up their cars for an alternative mode of transportation: walking, biking, riding public transportation, carpooling (horses, unicycles, rollerblades also acceptable).

This throng of walk/riders stands out from the rest by wearing something green.  Their "green status" makes them eligible to visit participating businesses who offer fabulous incentives.

What does that mean for me as a sponsor?

• As a sponsor you choose an incentive to offer the public.** 
• When people come into your store on Walk/Ride Day (the last Friday of every month) they tell you they are a Walk/Ride Day participant, show you their green item of clothing, and you hand over the goods, enter them in a raffle, whatever your choice is for an incentive.

**Like what?  Well, every business chooses something to fit their needs and abilities.  Some ideas: discounts, small freebies, raffles, and free passes.  These are just a few examples of what our sponsors offer (for a look at what Cambridge Sponsors are offering click here).

So Why Do it????

In return for your participation:

1. You get to feel warm and fuzzy inside by supporting your community through encouraging healthier, more active citizens, safer streets, and cleaner air.
2. We'll post your information on our website, with a link to your website if you have one.
3. We'll provide you with support materials like flyers, surveys, and green streets cards (see image below).

We think that's a pretty sweet deal for a tiny once a month commitment!
