Green Streets is honored to have been featured in Antony Gormley's "Fourth Plinth" art project, "One and Other," on a community quilt put together by Artist/Actress Hazel Ellerby-Sansome of Nottinghamshire, England. Thanks to quilter Francine Pickering of Nottingham, Green Streets Initiative found a place on Ellerby-Sansome's quilt, which was created by the women of East Midlands, England. The quilt square is show here ("translation" below).

Green Streets logo on left, with the Green Street Initiative's web header and url for Green Streets West Bridgford, UK chapter website above.
- Text on the right:
- "walk, ride, but don't drive
- Started by Janie in Cambridge, US
- Brought by Karina to West Bridgford, UK,
- Expanded by ? in your area...
- Your streets can be Green Streets too."
I love this quilt block, its beautifully done. I appreciate the block's journey from the Midlands to London, and the way the message of walking and/or riding is spreading, too!
